I'm not picking apart your post. You may get a more direct response having "south Florida" in the title.

Having said that.  There are several very reputable people on this forum  outside of Florida, if you could justify the shipping expense.

I have a somewhat dumb question.  If they're already TMCC, all you should need is the ERR Cruise Commander M to replace the DCDR.  That's a pretty easy conversion that should be able to be sourced locally, surely someone does basic Lionel electrical work down in Florida, right?

This man is just looking for help with his train......so he makes a typo........so what???  None  of you ever made a mistake.......just give him some help!    Goldenhand seems to very good.

With regards to EER vs. ERR - legitimate question. With all the acronyms that get thrown around in this hobby, I wondered myself. I assumed ERR but you never know.  I’d be reluctant to help if someone started showing attitude.

Thanks John, I don't really know that much about this stuff but understood some of what you said.  It's funny, back in my 20's and into my early 30's, I used to work on microwave equipment and trouble shot 4 wire switches for phone systems.  Then I moved on to work for the SP as a switchman and got away from that completely, 50 years later, I have almost no clue what all this stuff does and how it works.  I think I'm in trouble if I have problems.  Shoot, I'm almost afraid to take this stuff apart for fear that I may not be able to get it back together again.
