Mark, I'm with you. I've already had my identity stolen a year ago. Who knows where my security breach was accessed. I have more to do with my time than spend weeks and $ restoring my credit just to have a presence on Facebook or any other similar site.

Easy don't post anything you don't want out there. Facebook is great as most of the preservation groups are on facebook. I'm up to date on 1225 rebuild, all the goings on at the Valley RR when they were overhauling 3025, etc, etc.
I poo-pooed facebook until I finally got on it to shut up family members and now I love it. I am more connected to extended family members than I ever was in "real life" and have reconnected to dozens and dozens of old friends and high school and college friends that I never would have known anything else about them other wise.

For all the paranoids out there the only thing others will pick up about you is what you post on your page. Even if some head banger hacks you they still are not going to find out any more than what you put on it.

I wish that it would have been around 25 years ago.
