When I started to build my first layout in late 2015, I was planning on using two PW ZW transformers, but was reluctant due to much I read here regarding the older ZW's not tripping quickly enough to protect the boards in the newer engines. Most of the advice I could find here and elsewhere online about fast acting circuit breakers may as well have been written in Urdu - I really am a techno-peasant when it comes to electricity. Then someone mentioned Jim's Backshop series. I picked up vol. 8 at York and could not have been more pleased. His instructions were clear and simple to follow, and the video clearly showed each step. His knowledge of the subject was more than impressive (even down to the number of some of the parts any Radio Shack would have in stock!!!). Those breakers have saved my bacon on several occasions since. I would certainly give any of his videos a shot.

I replaced a worn out cord on my ZW with the help of one of Jim's videos. Everything went just exactly as he shows. 

I really like the idea of the individual downloads. You can't beat the price either! 

These are great. Just found them yesterday and will be utilizing a few of them for projects that I've been putting off.
