IR Transmitter LCS SensorTrack "Aftermarket"

I have several diesel Legacy engines and none of them have the IR Transmitter. My engines are probably 8 to10 years old. I'm not sure when Lionel came out with the IR Transmitter that works with LCS SensorTrack. My question is will Lionel produce an add on IR Transmitter that somehow can be retro-ed to non IR engines?
