"After 60 years in business, NWSL will cease operations effective August 30th, 2019. The company will continue to take orders for in-stock products until July 1st, 2019. Closure is for personal reasons and sale of the business is not anticipated, although reasonable proposals will be considered."
It's Saturday - maybe the weather is good and they are outside taking a break.....

NWLS website is still up and appears functional
Did not see any info on their site about "going out of business"?

They are still in business and hopefully the business will be sold and continue on. Order now they are currently filling orders.
Yes, they are still in business. According to the above, they're closing at the end of August.

The announcement was posted on their (NWSL) Facebook page in mid-March.
We should tread carefully in discussing this. Dave lost his beloved wife and business partner, Lynda, to cancer. He's grieving, ....as would I in his situation. It takes time for things...like the future of NWSL...to be put into a final perspective.
For the help he provided me during his years of ownership of the business, I have absolutely no doubt that Dave fully well understands that NWSL, its unique and broad contribution to the model railroading (et al) hobby, would be terribly missed were it to not survive for future generations. Perhaps time, support and encouragement from friends and family, and prayers will give him a fresh perspective on his own future. Some in this situation have eventually found that sustaining the work they shared with their departed spouse provides its own healing rewards and honor.
It takes time....weeks, months,....maybe a year or more.
Be patient and respectful in trying to contact him.
Above all, keep Dave Rygmyr in your prayers.

Dave and Lynda were two peas in a pod.....I’ve dealt with both of them for many years.....Lynda is sorely missed by all of us that know her and Dave ....this reply is perfect, tread lightly, offer condolences. Keep Dave and Lynda in our prayers, and let Dave have the space and time he needs....and if by some chance Dave sees this thread, a heartfelt thank you for you and Ms. Lynda for all the dedicated years of service to this hobby.......god Bless!............Pat
