While vacationing last week in NH, took a ride on the Lake Winnipesaukee RR from Weirs Beach to Lakeport and back.

Engine was an EMD circa 1970 that did service time on the BNSF and has been restored. In winter, it's taken up to Lincoln, NH to do double duty and heads their Polar Express train.

What's the story of the budd car being towed behind it? is it operational? is it demotored?

I live near there. It's been there for as long as I remember. Don't know if it runs or has a motor in it. Think it's just part of their collection. I should ask next time I'm there what their plans are for it.
