Of course, being steamers, this would be "double-heading" (not "MU'ing, a non-steam term/ability)

Now, the "tender-to-tender" hook-up is rare, but not unknown.

Would it be "double-rearing" in this case? Hm.

I've also seen a photo of a NYC pusher (rare itself) in steam days on the rear of the train running tender-first.

I only have the one command steamer that has functioning couplers on both ends.  I was thinking that in the real world if I had to run around a train to pull in the opposite direction why wouldn't I want the engine that was at the rear of the loco consist to now be facing forward?  I have never seen it done this way in pictures, but why not?
