Lion Chief + RS-3 - can't change sound level | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I got a new LC+ RS-3 smokes great , runs great - just way tooo loud at factory setting. I tryed to get it to go into sound mode but nada it won't go into osund mode to decrease sound -- any one else??? thoughts? Kind of disappointed - can't run it too loud for my renter house I share.

Call Lionel maybe they can walk you thru the procedure and if something is wrong, let them take care of it if your Local Hobby Shop cannot.

Did you follow the directions in the manual?

With the engine not moving, press and hold both the horn and bell buttons

until the red LED flashes. The sound will be at its lowest level. Moving the

speed control in either direction will increase the sound level.

Did you unplug your remote? Unplug your remote from the wall and plug it back in .

Seriously, make sure the batteries in the remote are good.

Problem solved - my mistake. I was doing in wrong. It works as advertised. Happy product works as advertised.
