Tomorrow I am calling Lionel service, but can anyone tell me what is actually going on with my f-3? I picked it up "new" from a dealer and I immediately got trouble. The plastic magnet about the rear engine broke in four pieces and this engine's speed was no longer being controlled by my legacy remote. I called Lionel and replaced the motor. It worked fine until tonight. Put the engine on the tracks and if I didn't have my legacy brakes on full blast, I had a runaway engine even in slow speed. I removed the shell and found no broken plastic magnet, I made sure all the boards were seated properly and found no loose or disconnected wires. I checked the wiring from the legacy base and ran my Vision Line Hudson - no problem. I then went to the reprogram guide using number eight - (last call with service) nothing changed, no control of speed. Like I stated in the beginning I am calling service, but what do you believe is, or could be the problem?
