I've noticed Lionel used to offer some sort of "upgrade" kit for the 2011 Lionmaster Big Boy.
The kit is no longer available but I was curious if anyone knew what the resistance on the resistors in the kit were?
According to Lionels parts website the available resistor for the locomotive is an 8 ohm.
Are the kits ones the same as the ones currently available from Lionel or were they different to some capacity.
I've added screenshots of the kit and the available resistor.
I was curious about adding this kit since the smoke unit acts quite funky, sometimes it stops putting out smoke, or the smoke comes out in puffs at idle, the whistle is barley visible, all that sorta good stuff.
