Wow this is awesome! MUCH cheaper than the LionScale cars, which I don't really need for my setup. This is niiiiiice. 

Do the flat cars come with real stake pockets (with holes to put stakes in them)?

Yes they do John. They even have painted decks on them. They are a world apart in quality from the Menard flats and almost the same price!

Do you know, if Lionel has any plans to do something like this with their tank cars, box cars, cattle cars and hoppers?

Jim, I think it would depend on the sale of these but my guess would be yes.

Thank you for your fast reply. During the good old MPC days, Lionel made some very good looking single and triple dome tank cars.  Maybe, I should send Santa Claus another letter. 

I got a set of flat cars and a set of hoppers from Charlie and they are impressive for the price!

I'd love to see tank and box car sets. 

Anybody got photos of these? I'm intrigued....
