Very interesting indeed. It seems with most of these games, when you take out the anger or the violence there really is nothing left to them. Are we bringing up a generation immune to violence, with no real 3d creative processes? This troubles me in its lack of creativity and reflection. Instant satisfaction at higher and higher speeds seems to be the new key to fulfillment. It will be interesting to see where we are in 20 years. (Civilization as we know it ends when we only drink our coffee out of styrofoam cups.)

All the best,

OK, off topic but in response to Miketg;

Look at Kerbal Space Program.

Free demo version will let you make it to a moon, land and return if you are very very good.

Pay version (under $30) has many more parts and ways to go about it.

I enjoy it and so does my 9yr old niece.

There are many youtube videos about the game.

You certainly cannot fault Lionel for attempting to bridge the gap with kids' interests today. It is a shame that most of these games must include some kind of violence in order to be popular with the younger crowd. I believe that there is some correlation with this and what going on in the world today.

YEP! Kerbal Space program!

One of the best games out there and it is a partially hidden gem.

Get in on STEAM.

I tried Battle train and found it to be interesting. Nice graphics and playable.

Some strategy and interaction. Though the first thing I did was turn the music off.

I was only able to get through 3 or 4 levels, but that was enough.

What I needed was a siding where I could go into the fetal position.

Not my cup of tea but I'm glad Lionel took the chance. Personally I would have

gone with a Thomas or Polar express type game, but maybe next time....
