Can you use Fastrack with Lionel's ENGINE HOUSE 6-12897 & Lionel's MAINTENANCE SHED 6-12906?

Looks like you may have to mod the bottom of the doorways for the ballast. Here is the photo from Lionel of the FasTrack version, 6-24296. A little Dremel grinding should do it.

Kenn,do a mock-up and see how it fits.If it doesn't fit,you have two simple choices IMO.Rip  1/8 inch off  each side of the fast track with a table saw -OR- use a fast track transition piece converting to O scale tubular track before going into the engine house.As for a possible height problem, you may have to rip some wood pieces to size in order to "fir"the building up then paint to match. Another option is to simply notch out each side of the Fastrack and then add a styrene strip to the foundation of the engine house walls to raise it up if necessary.

The simplest  idea is to build up the ground level to the height of the ballast alongside the tracks with foam core. That way, you wouldn't have to modify anything.
