Lionel Fastrack Command Switches - DC? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I got a bunch of the Lionel command switches, will they work on DC power using a wall wort? Most of my accessories are LEDs (all but 2) and I'm thinking of getting rid of my AC transformer that powers them and going to DC but can I?

No, they require AC power.

The easier choice is to just run them from track power, if you are using command control.

I have them on a 14v power supply with all my other accessories. I may just split my accessory line, one for switches and one for accessories. I can't stand the cooling fan of my CW80 anymore.

Trainlover,

I run all mine off track power on several different levels, they work great and draw very little power. As Guns advises they run AC power only.
