Lionel "Hallow's Eve" 4-6-0 & Tender

Is there any way to increase the volume on the sound in the tender ?

I played with it some and the short answer seems to be "not easily." When I took it apart I could not find any adjustment or simple mod (removing a resistor, etc.) that looked to work. I tried another speaker (not sure what model, etc. - took it from a junked loco. But it was larger, very long but no wider) and that did not help much.
