In verifying the KW diode orientation and wiring for a recent post, I followed the Lionel KW Service manual.
Page 1 (attached) discusses operation of the KW whistle control with an illustration of the switch position at the bottom of the page for the “A” terminal.
In the text (right column - top paragraph) it states “Moving the switch Clockwise connects the rectifier…...” I believe it should be Counterclockwise for the KW with respect to the “A” terminal. Counterclockwise would be consistent with labeling on the KW.
If I am interpreting this incorrectly, please let me know.
