I have just bought the new Lionel Legacy NS Reading SD70 ACE Heritage unit. All runs great and sounds great. I have ran it about an hour and the rear coupler opens every so often going around the layout. I am only pulling 10, 15 inch passenger cars. Is there any type of fix that I can do? Thanks for your response.

also you can try to work the coupler by hand. what I mean is open it with the remote and then with your hand push it closed hard (not hard enough to break it), do this a few times. sometimes the coupler does not seat all the way closed.
First thing I do is unplug the coupler from the board and see if it's an electrical or mechanical issue. If it's mechanical, I normally use a little graphite lub on them to see if that fixes it. If not, a new coupler is pretty cheap, or you can open that one up and stretch the spring a bit and see if that helps. You'll have to be able to rivet the knuckle back on, so many folks find it easier to buy the $10 coupler.
