Hi all. My trouble is with an sd 70-it's doing some wierd things. Most notable is that when you run it and push an icon on the cab2 the engine will speed up. This involves a number of icons,not just the throttle icons. When you apply track voltage the sound of engine rpm's comes on (at least this is what the sound sounds like) When you put in the engine call ID the sound doesn't work at all. No comm tower, no bell, horn-nothing-no sound at all. Also the smoke doesn't work during this.
Now for the wierd part-if you take out the sound board all is well-except you have no sound,of course. It runs normally, smoke works,just no sound! I replaced the sound board with a new one from Lionel to no avail. I also did "restore features"-this also did no good. I sent the chipset and it's board to Lionel to be tested and they said it was good.( I must say I have my doubts about this.) Anyway I am stuck on this and any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
