I have a No. 3656 Lionel Stock Car Outfit.  Have followed all the directions per the instruction booklet on wiring.  When I turn the switch on the stock yard with cattle works.  However, the car doesn't vibrate.  Have checked the car, flying shoes, and wire and it works.  Also, I have cleaned the ground clip and power blade (o gauge).  Is there something I am doing wrong?  Thanks.

Did you check the car with an ohmmeter or apply voltage to the slider contacts? If you used only an ohmmeter the slider contacts may have sunk into the shoes and not be making contact with the rails. If you applied voltage and heard a humming noise then its either the sunken contacts or a wiring issue with the corral to the insulated contact.

If you hear humming but the cattle don't move you may have to adjust the internal platform with felt washers to optimize the vibration.
