Does anyone have the swing bridge on a layout? Is it worth the space to install? Looking for pros and cons about the operation and its reliability

I have the Lionel one as the focal point of my layout. It's big! I've had the bridge now going on 8 years and never had an issue. I'll take some shots later. It's a great accessory that an lot can relate to as there are many around my area. The only caveat is the end piers need to level so the bridge seats properly.
Search the forum - here's the results page of such a search. Problems, comments, For Sale, etc.. Lionel's new trestle bridges use this bridges' design.
I have had a Lionel Swing Bridge since they first came out. It has been installed or three different layouts over the years and I have had no problems at all. The biggest problem is the amount of space it requires. But is a really nice piece and adds great detail to rivers.
I bought one a while ago and never opened it. I think I will find a place for it. Thanks for the information.
I didn't like the Lionel version; because only one side of the base is open to water traffic. The K-Line version is more prototypical; and has a very smooth operation.

That looks great. I wasn't aware K Line also made a swing bridge. I think I'll make time tomorrow a open up my bridge. Any other pictures would be appreciated. Thanks Again
