First, I would like an opinion or two about the SW transformer. Secondly, using this transformer to run a single train on one throttle and accessories on the other throttle, what about powering O22 switches through the fixed voltage plug ? What would be the ideal binding post to use.

The SW is a pretty good transformer(especially if you are a Star Trek fan!).
The C-U posts at 14 volts can be used for the 022 switches. If they need more snap, use B-U.
Remember that the lights alone in each pair of 022 switches will use 8-10 watts and that will add up quickly to the SW rated output of 6.5 amps, leaving not much for the train and accessories.
Thanks Rob. I'm trying to decide whether or not to use my KW for the small Xmas layout I built. The space for it is limited and the KW is a bit bulky for it. You may recall me asking about power for the O22 switches in another thread. Also, the 1033 I am currently using seems to be not quite up to the task.
There are four O22 switches, one 356 freight station and one 445 switch tower. on the layout. The train I am running consists of a post war #624 C&O NW2 switcher with electronic reverse unit, an MTH aquarium car, post war log dump car, and two non operating cars. There are no other lights or operating things, yet.
You should be good to go.
