Heads-up for anyone who pre-ordered the Lionel U.P. Anniversary Set out of the 2012 catalog. Was just over on Charles Ro’s web site checking a few items, and noticed that the shipping date has been pushed back to 11/10/12. That’s about a two month slip from the original date. The Navy Alco Set still showing September delivery.

I always go by Lionel's shipping schedule and both of them are showing a October shipping date. Lionel changed the shipping dates on a lot of items just before the end of July. The UP set is one of the items I'm waiting for. I check Lionel's site weekly for changes and I save each list as a pdf file. Just like the centipedes where changed from Aug. to Sept. back in July and as of Aug. 17 date, shows them now as being shipped to dealers.

Thanks for that info. Good to know. I'm waiting on that set as well as several other items and, to be honest, I don't mind if the deliveries end up being spread out a bit. Easier on the wallet!
