I'm new to the O-Gauge Train club and have recently acquired the Western Md Shay Engine and Tender. I am running this locomotive on a Fastrack O-48 track and when the engine turns left the shaft that connects to the tender comes apart. Is this something that can be fixed/repaired? The engine and tender runs and turns great on this track but the shaft pulls free. Any suggestions on what I can do to correct this issue? Thanks in advance.

have this shay, runs well except it stalls on switches at slower speed

its happens when the tender roller hits a dead spot on switch

engine stops although both engine rollers are on powered track; seems to tender roller must be powered to operate

is that correct or is it a sign that engine rollers are not working?
