Ben, thanks for that, as it was really just a joke, on what I feel like is
an antiquated way to solve, problems, I was in LTL Trucking for 30 yrs
and can discuss many strike issues, BUT, in earnest , did the cars get back
into their respective facilities, or are there really a lot of passenger cars
just sitting around on various tracks,!!!!!!!!!! Makes it very hard for you
people that are use to this style of commuting!
Terry, the strike is set to start Sunday at 12:00am, it has not started yet. While many of us are hopeful, I think it will happen..300,000 more cars on the LIE and the Northern State/Grand Central Pkwy. Should be great.
It sounds like both sides are standing their ground.
Commuting on Long Island every day when the LIRR is operating normally is a challenge. Having all those extra cars on the road might be a nightmare!
Maybe Charlie ought to donate some of those GP38's (if he has any left) as incentives to get back to the bargaining table.
