WBZ, the CBS affiliate here in Boston, ran a very nice feature yesterday on Charles Ro and model trains. Great advertising for them and a nice little reminder for people outside the hobby that toy trains are still around and have that timeless Christmas connection.

Been buying my trains from Charlie’s store since 1986. Great group of employees.
A nicely done segment that likely brought, or will bring, a number of new visitors--who hopefully will leave as shoppers--to the store. Charles Sr. was a good friend over many years, and I also regard Charles Jr. (Chuckie) as a good friend dating back to his days of overseeing the "USA Trains" Large Scale line of excellent products that Ro produces for the garden railroading crowd.
Did business with Charles Sr. for forty plus years. A wonderful, impeccably honest man. I miss our phone conversations and our many get togethers at York.
I saw the written interview on the computer plus there was a link to the TV interview.
Great advertising for the Ro’s and for the train hobby.
It’s been a while, maybe 5 years or so, since i was there. I don’t recall seeing the operating layout in the store. Does anyone know if that’s something recent? Have they always had that??
Charlie and Team is one of the places I purchase trains, O as well as USA Trains G Scale. Great report from the CBS Team
They have the layout upstairs over part of the store. I remember a stairway near the door when you enter the store. When we visited, the trains were running even though no one was there to control them. I wondered if they had cameras to monitor them downstairs. Our visit was 6 or 7 years ago. Living in the New York Finger Lakes area, it was a bucket list visit!
As you walk through the front door, there is a stairway to the left that goes up to the layout. If I recall correctly, the entire layout is behind glass. No shortage of Lionel O gauge to see there.
