London Transport Museum

London is a big place, not sure I'd bump any particular thing for this museum ... but we went and enjoyed it.

Don't forget to ride the Docklands light rail! It's a nice view of the canary warf revitalization!

There also seemed to be a lot vintage rail in wales and england... if one had the interest.

If you're coming to England then you must visit our York Railway Museum 

It looks like there is both a York and Shildon location ... nice looking collections on the websites!   Unfortunately we didn't venture in that direction this go around but I'll put it in my memory banks and would like to have a look one day.

I went to the museum a few years back with my wife and daughter, very enjoyable, great displays and welcoming staff. May I also recommend the tour of Tower Bridge. Absolutely fascinating. Miketg

  I would love to see the museum at York but not on this trip.  I will be taken the Virgin train out of London to Birmingham. It's only costing us 5 pounds each way . I don't think I can buy a sandwich on the Amtrak for that price. 

My uncle in Stourbridge is having a party for his 100 birthday ! Relations from all over England ,Ireland and the U.S will be there.

  We do plan to take a ride on the Severn Valley Railway. Anybody been on that one ?
