Alex's party is this Saturday August 3rd. Only a few days away. I am looking forward to seeing my friends in this great hobby, most of whom I have not seen since York in April or even longer. The weatherman is stating Saturday should be sunny with no rain in Staten Island. Let's hope that is the case.

Thanks Alex for hosting get together. You are a good guy by having so many people in your house at one time. Hope to see those who RSVPed there.

I think this party could turn out to be almost as good as Trainstock.

We are really looking forward to this event. We have communicated with Alex by phone and many e-mails, but it will be really great meeting he and his wife in person.

The added treat to this is on the drive down and back, we will get to talk trains with a terrific Forum member, Mike from South Portland.

Hope everyone going enjoys the day while I am working. Originally planned on attending but that thing called "work" is getting in the way once again. I should have retired 5 months ago but noooo....!

I'll see everyone at York in 2 months from now and am planning to attend Trainstock next January.

If anyone is attending Greenberg show in Edison, NJ, stop by our fastrack layout that is operating DCS, Legacy, TMCC and the remote controlled Thomas set, I will be there both days.

I know.   Trust me I tried hard to get my wife to re-schedule our vacation to early August instead of July but we couldn't work it out with our work schedules.

But if anyone is in the Detroit area and wants to check out the boat and run some trains they are always welcome over.

Hey, hey, lighten up on Scrapiron, Dave Allen and I saw him run his layout flawlessly, even his turn table.  I'd give him another shot Alex, running your layout

Email sent to Alex and Dennis who was to provide Metropark pick-up.....profound regrets at being unable to attend at last minute as water emergency at daughter's house forces relocation of their family to OUR house...and Grandpa help needed.
