Making turntable and roundhouse work together

I bought an Atlas O roundhouse a long time ago. I didn't realize at the time that it was designed for a 24" TT.

I am planning a 27" TT. Has anyone figured out how to fit a larger TT with the roundhouse? I would prefer not to hack off the front apron to make it fit. If you have done that to make it fit, I would appreciate pictures of how you tied it together. I am concerned that the TT and roundhouse so close together might be an issue.

Perhpars there are other mods to the roundhouse that can be made to change the angles?

I have the same issue with a Bowser 32" Table. I think I am just going to chop off the front apron and then re scenic it with homemade concrete platforms to fill in the gap. Just got the TT installed so more to follow. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know.

If the indexing is the same degree maybe all you would have to do is shorten the the apron by 1.5 inches?
