Hi Peter.

I have used many Marcway turnouts on my layout and have drawings taken from his turnouts using CAD and have them in files at my mates place who does the drawings mostly smaller turnouts. I always ring Marc Weaver because in Australia we have cheap international calls on landline phones I have also met Marc a number of times on my visits to England.  Is it possible to ring him ? he ships all over the world in safe and well packed parcels. The photos show examples of my trackwork now long finished and working every week for a couple of years with no problems using Tortoise motors and interlocking control panels.  One photo shows a track plan full size done at a printing place but I did not like that system found it annoying having paper everywhere went back to working from a small plan and just placing all the turnouts in position double checking them, then joining them up. I am just an average bloke, definitely not a professional, nothing special about me just like trains and good running. My mate and fellow operator draws the plans I do everything else the drawings take as much time as laying the track as you have to know where the turnout motors are going to be in regards to the crossmembers of the baseboards and plan the wiring in advance a lot of work for both of us but we get there in the end.

Let me know if I can help you further some people think I'm abrupt and strange but I do help people if I can, don't write me off yet I'm really a nice bloke!    Roo.

Over the years I have had a lot of folks describe me the same way<g>

Rather than abrupt I consider myself  "No BS and to the point".

Thanks for the info on Marcway. I just think it is a bit odd that in 2018 someone would be in business selling stuff without a website or at least an email address.

There is a Website, but no I can't see an email address now you mention it.

Maybe as they're also a general Model Shop as well, with lots of non-railway models, they just don't use email  as they'd be inundated every day with all sorts of questions about all sorts of models? I don't know?!

I have been dealing with Marc for a long time now.

He never uses emails for his business either write and send drawings or ring him. Because I go to England every year to see my son and his family I don't have an issue with it.

I have had a number of special turnouts made to my sizes by him as long as I submit accurate drawings I don't have any problems.

Funny, I have never asked him why he doesn't use emails ! maybe it's because I don't have a Television set and a smart phone that I don't find it unusual. Roo.
