I have the recent Legacy UP E-9 set, and ordered both the UP and MR four-car packs so I'd have a seven-car train to run (can't run both observation cars at once, and off course I want the MR one!  Anyway, they are shown as shipping in Oct.  Hopefully I will have them by Christmas.  I plan to buy more MR in UP color cars and locos.  Interesting history to it, and I love armor yellow.

The K-Line F-unit set came with an ABA set of F units and six 15" cars. It was available only as a set. There were no add-ons or separate sales.  K-Line did not make 18" cars in the Milwaukee Road UP yellow paint scheme, but they did make them in orange and maroon.

Williams made a set of yellow Milwaukee Road FP-45's in the 90's. Unfortunately they were among the first units Williams made in China and they had a lot of mechanical problems. They should be avoided unless you can get them really cheap and you don't mind taking them completely apart to fix drive train and electrical problems. I have a set that has been converted to TMCC.

The Lionel Bi-Polar has already been mentioned. MTH also made a yellow Bi-Polar. However, the MTH Bi-Polar body is modeled as the units were before they were rebuilt in the 1950s. The Bi-Polars were only painted yellow after the rebuild, which gave them the rounded edges and semi-streamlined look of the Lionel model. The Lionel is historically correct for a yellow Bi-Polar; the MTH is not.

Here's the K-Line set displayed on a wall shelf. Click on the photo for a better view.

And here's the Lionel Bi-Polar pulling the 15" K-Line cars. This photo was taken before the K-Lionel set was available.
