The Phantom train set too is one of those love it or hate it.... I'm still on the fence post about it, but I'm not rushing out to buy one....
Well, I would have to say the old Lionel and Willams Blue Comet. I'm not sure if it's a snubbed piece, but you can just get a more accurate Blue Comet if you wanted to.

Yea I had one of those , it could not pull the skin off a rice pudding if running on track not tin plated. Up graded the motor truck with traction tyres but still not a great puller.

I like these, too. And the four wheeled Gondolas and Cabooses that that were also available. I remember a train store in Duncannon, PA that had quite a few of the gondolas and cabooses. At the time, I was into HO. I wished I picked up some of these. iginally Posted by Mikado 4501:

So far it seems, this engine is earning the most votes as the most despised toy train out there. 
If you read the reviews on the internet, people say that the movie didn't have an ending. Only an upcoming "Part 2" is promised at the end of the DVD. But Lionel never made the Part 2 and nobody will every find out how the story ends.

There are currently several "Captain High Pocket" units on the Bay right now with Buy It Nows starting at $99 and up. No seeing many sales however.

Then you build the story around this secret new locomotive that they have created.
Right?
Then you don't offer a model of the train that the story is built around. They snubbed their own engine!
