I have on pre-order the M.O.W. legacy boom car, which in my opinion is one of the most hideous boom car offerings there have been.
The newly offered M.O.W. tie work on the other hand is quite attractive in my opinion.
I'm not concerned with prototypical... I'm considering pre-ordering the mow tie work car and moving the guts of the boom car over. Anyone ever take apart the boom car? How much space do I need for the electronics / speaker?

One is scale the other is o gauge. There is a deferents in size.
I would like to hear the difference in sound between the Legacy boom car and the older TMCC boom car? I thought about swapping out the guts from my older one with the Legacy version. I like the looks of the traditional sized boom car and if I decide to pull the trigger on the tie car I'll get the boom car with it.
The electronics in the TMCC boom car are a very tight fit, so I doubt they could be easily moved into the #77 tie car. If the electronics in the Legacy version are smaller, then maybe it could be done.
