Thinking I need to concentrate more on the medium sized tinplate engine and cars. I really like the proportions of the 385e and 1385e. Does anyone know if the MTH PS2 versions have a tether between the engine and tender?

The latest releases had tethers, and featured Proto-Sound 2.0
Thanks Wurlitzer.. I know that sometimes they fit all the electronics in the engine. My MTH Brass Piper has all the electronics in the engine and was hoping the same for the 385e.

If you do not need electronics, there are many nice originals out there in the same ball park price as a new MTH. Nice thing with them is they are simple and will run without much effort, and no depreciation.
