MTH buildings with christmas lights

I have a country passenger station with Christmas lights from MTH. I cannot locate the instructions. Ihave gone to the MTH website and see that instructions are not available on line. So, my question is: Do I hook up the lights to 10 volts or 14 volts from the back of my z4000? Thank you for any input.
