Hi guys and girls I just got my very first mth loco today it is the union pacific f3 aba set with proto 3.0 came out back in 2012 found on ebay brand new and I am so happy with it. But as I like to tinker I want to do some upgrades first I noticed on the non powered a unit it has room for another speaker the one in the powered a unit is a 4ohm 4watt speaker. Now can I put another speaker in the non powered a unit if so if I matched the 4ohm 4watt that would make a total load of 8ohms would that be ok if so or not how can I accomplish this and without running messy wires to the new speaker. Also I want to add kadee couplers to all 3 units how do I remove the front and rear proto couplers on the a units and how do I remove the couplers on the b unit. And another question I am currently running conventional with a pure power ac mrc 130w trans. I will be upgrading in the next couple weeks to dcs system remote. Is it normal when running conventional when you press the bell or horn button at half throttle for the loco to loose a little power then gain it back when buttons are released. Also I am using gargraves tinplate phantom track the way I have it powered is one wire to the middle rail and one wire connecting the outside rails together. Is the one ground wire enough or should I connect more say every one or two feet. And lastly I want all three units to smoke how can I do this without adding additional smoke units I thought maybe running some tubing from the smoke unit back to the others what is your thoughts and ideas on doing this.
