MTH M10000 Electrical Troubleshooting?

Yeah, that's my guess.  I wonder where in the wiring, though...

We should have pickup one of the middle cars. You may have to go get one from Larry to see if the wiring plugs changes, The cars may have a common ground to outside rail, but some where on the way to the end car the plugs are switched over so when you plug the end car in the center rail wire is plugged into the wire that goes to the outside rail.

Plug the two cars together BUT keep the back car off of the track to see if you have short then.

That was my theory as well.  Larry wants me to look at his Galloping Goose, so I've asked him to bring the middle cars along as well.  With the back car off the track, there is no short circuit.

I have a dim memory of the center car reversing the wiring somehow. That means you need all three units to make it run.
