and I wondered if you all are pre-ordering items? I haven't kept up with recent manufacturers releases, and in the past I typically have not pre-ordered buildings, so am asking if its necessary.
I really liked the Christmas lights on the houses, and the train station that appears to be done in PE colors.

You are right about the color scheme on the train station. I hadn't noticed that. That could boost the sales of that MTH item! Pre-order may be wise. Lately that have not been "over producing" on most things.
If you really, really want something or absolutely have to have it, pre-order it.
Pre-ordering is the only way to be certain you get the items you want these days. I have been pre-ordering all my 'gotta have it' items for the last few years.
Agreed on the need to preorder from any of the o gauge manufacturers as they all appear to be built to order now whether they market it that way or not.

I immediately ordered a house with lights. Loved the Lionel version from several years ago but can't seem to find one. This should be a big, big hit.
