MTH WP 20-93608 Box Car Cancellation

I was deeply disappointed when a got a phone call from my local hobby shop. MTH canceled production of the Premier 20-93608 Western Pacific Box Car. I had pre-ordered two of these cars in both numbers. Here is a photo here:

MTH has not made a lot of Western pacific rolling stock. There is so much WP to be made and I know WP has a following. That is why I am puzzled why they canceled this item. Was it do to lack of orders? Was it do to graphics problems? Was it do to many items that need to be produced and devoting attention to them? 

 

The Western Pacific is a popular railroad and has a good following. I am puzzled why MTH would do this. I don't want to see another box car with e feather. The WP had a lot more than that...

I find it hard to believe that MTH can't generate enough Western Pacific box car pre-orders. The WP is a popular roadname and I can't believe they couldn't make this. Next time I speak to Peterson Supply I'm going to inquire about this...maybe someone can do a special run of this.

If there was a dime to be made.....MTH would have made it. It's not like MTH just dislikes WP.....not enough folks wanted it....so it was canceled. These companies have one goal, it's not to favor or dislike any RR or modeler, make money.

Weaver would be more than happy to make a run of the car shown. All it takes is time and money..........
