Murder in the Orient Express locomotive

Where did you get the multi-gauge track that you are using in your garden setup?

The problem with movie train tie-ins is the movie's usually come and gone before the model is available. (Polar Express and the Hogwart's Express are post release exceptions, and I think the Harry Potter tie-in has pretty much run it's course.)  Plus, there has to be a pretty good anticipated return on investment for any licensing fees.

Remember when a bunch of folks wanted the locomotives from "Unstoppable" or the Train of Thought from Disney's "Inside Out?"

True. Polar express and Harry Potter work because they are franchises.  Polar express gets a boost every Christmas and HP had many sequels over many years to sustain interest.

I am doubtful that a remake would be as excellent as the original. An all-star cast, and a beautiful train combined with a perfect screenplay adaptation will be hard to follow,

I made the multi-gauge track using 1 gauge track parts from Tenmille http://www.tenmille.com/Gauge1-home.html)

If tied in with the movie, there will be fees.  Plus, it looks like the locomotive's been "dolled up" for the movie.

You might be right about fees, I am just a simple modelrailroader who does not know about fees. The picture you show is not the 241A; you show a 241P (a completely different animal), which has also examples restored in running order. The only "dolled up" part to the 241A in the movie is an added snow plow.

You are fully right; there are more differences, not only the snow plow.

It looks like the smoke deflectors were installed backwards for the movie version of the loco.
