I lovedthe Woodland Scenics Emporium (as I do all their built ups) and knew from the moment I saw pictures of it and the door factory that I would have to have both.  But frankly this "Emporium" looks like anything but a department store to me, and most like a small hotel. So that is what I transformed it into.

I named it the Premier.  Why?  Well, I  considered another rock-music theme (My Morrison's Doors factory is now the Creedance Clearwater Brewery) but I didn't want to go with Hotel California or Heartbreak Hotel or any oher musci-themed hotel I could think of.  And, I already have the Lionel Legacy Hotel downtown, so in honor of the MTH Premier line, here it is.  No other changes to the outside of the building, but I put a full interior on the first floor with drapes pulled back so you can see inside, and used 12V LED lights rather than the lighting that came with the building.  It will sit on a shelf for about a week while I do some redevelopment of a site for it on my mainstreet.

The interior is made of foamboard covered with printed floor tiles, wall paneling and Persian rugs, and painting that I did on my computer/color printer.  The sofas are scratch made and the rest of the furniture is 1:48 dollhouse furniture bought on Amazon.

This is the first time I have used a set of LED light strips I bought (also on Amazon).  I can cut one or as many of the sections I need off.  Runs on 12VDC (shown here) or down to about 8V at which it is much more muted - at around 10 V it is quite nice for a building interior.

I used just one piece with three diode lamps.  It already has doubled sided mounting tape.  I'm going to put one in every one of my buildings and run them all off a single old Lifelike DC supply.

Very impressive interior.I have made custom interiors for a few buildings and know how time consuming it is.The wood paneling and staircase is especially cool. Why the blue leds though. It looks very unnatural.Micromark sells warm white led strips.

Since you like basing your structures on rock music bands, have you thought about a gas station based on the Frank Zappa album"Joe's Garage".There is a real Joe's Garage gas station in Berwyn Illinois.I will post photos of it for you in the next week or so to maybe inspire you to model it.
