really need forom help especially fans of the nyc

1)I have a scale kline nyc f3 aa set-cab.no;s are 3500 and 3501-not having a book on nyc diesels did and did nyc no. f3;s in the 3500's.

   there is a slide of a real nyc f3 a unit cab.no.3503-so nyc did number f3's in the 3500 series-when -what years were these f3's numbered in this series

 

 

2)extended window cabooses-what year were these cabooses first used-where they used in the steam era-like with nyc steam which ended in 1953

 

3)I noticed a lot of real freight cars-box/reefers/tank cars have a x in their no's-what does the x mean.
