I need help with where to get air tanks and lines like these pictured in that auction so I can make my Weaver and MTH Southern E-8 A units have this same look.

At one time, I talked to a well-known brass dealer and almost figured out some of the brass pieces (tubes plus end caps) I would need but did not complete the order since they did not have the parts at that time.

Has anyone else already added air tanks like this and can help me with realistic dimensions of the actual tanks and how to match those sizes in scale parts?

Here is one more shot showing end of tank and air lines:

Are the tanks possibly 9 inches in diameter with 1-inch air lines?  What about length?

Is there any chance MTH or someone makes a similar air tank as a replacement part to a passenger-equipped GP-7 or 9 such as this one?

Thanks,
Eric

I have 4 Southern E-8's that I want to do the same project on.

Right now I'm just going to start with added the extra grab iron on the nose and over the wishshield. I'm also going to add the firecracker antenna and the 5 chime horn.

Looking for the correct air tanks and piping  have proven to be a little bit harder to find.

it's possible to find the correct size pipe in brass and then bend it to fit. Hope you have luck on your upgrade project.
