I believe your instructions actually have the parts break down and # for these trucks.  I replaced a pair for a customer who dropped his tender a few months ago.  What specifically is wrong, I do have some old parts for these trucks.  Unless I got the last ones, they were available.  G

The engine and tender are still at the repair shop in Mass. I'll ask him to email a picture of the truck and forward it to you.

I a similar situation with a bought-used Railking loco that had a truck on the tender that kept dropping out an axle. I simply found another MTH tender with very similar trucks (they were different, but not by much) at a swap meet and changed both trucks from that to my broken tender, so that it had a good, balanced look.  I think it cost me $30 or so . . . The trick might have worked with a non-MTH tender, say a Lionel tender's trucks, or even if I bought a new set of Atlas trucks at my LHS, but I figured MTH trucks might fasten on better because they probably all fasten with the same method, bolts, etc.  That was the case - they slipped right on.  They were easy to replace . . . .
