I'd take MTH  and Lionel AF graphics over AM any day but that's another topic.

Just for the record, AM graphics are much better than they used to be.  I have AM cars from the 1985-1990 era, and the same cars in different numbers from the 2010-2018 era.  The graphics are markedly better in the newer cars.

The graphics on State Line's AM Burlington "reefers" are right up there with the best.  A comparison with a Pacific Rail Shops reefer on the right:

My understanding is the MTH Bicycle cars are already in the hands of the host club!  The question is, will MTH try to sell the same cars before the 2019 convention, or undercut their price and ruin sales for the COSG ?   I also attended the convention in Boxboro.  Excellent job by the Bristol club, but I was not impressed with attendance while there on Friday!

Well, MTH shows $79.99 for the Bicycle cars, COSG is asking $70.00.  If one doesn't attend the convention and has the cars shipped, it's $8.00 extra per car, so prices right now are pretty much a wash.

Still, if I was a convention car chairman, I'd be pretty upset that my special run cars are showing up apparently for sale on MTH's (also would go for AM's or Lionel's) web site well before the event.

That would be a kick in the rear if they did.   Ron was persuaded to do the re-issue of the full length heavyweights for NASG a few years ago, and promised not to do those specific road names until NASG sold them out.  Our club event car was an AM Detroit and Mackinac boxcar one, and we were completely satisfied with the resulting graphics.  If a car is an existing casting, AM's minimum is flexible.  We also had enough wheels to change from scale to hirail at the event if necessary.   And IIRC, we actually did that for a few guys.  Any extra wheels were send back with no problems.

This car's graphics are not as simple as they look.  Think how you would do it if you had to paint it on...
