The response has been very positive to the York historic series release of October 2018 so we are going to launch a new endeavor- the Train Manufacturers Series. Where better to start than 24 Murray Street in New York, New York, the site of Joshua Lionel Cowen’s first office.

This shadowbox model will be limited to a production run of 100 pieces assembled 10 at a time. The official release date will be at the York TCA Eastern Division Train Meet, April 11, 12  and 13, 2019.

This historical building TM-1, will measure approximately 24” long and will be 5-stories tall, about 12”. The shadowbox will be 1.75” deep, enough to allow a window stack on the side. The model will feature historically correct street level doors and windows.

Each model will come with the five floors individually lit using 5050 Superbrightled LED’s. The wires will be hidden in a square tube styrene chase so they are unseen if you elect to have clear glazing. The rear panel of the shadowbox is removable to allow for the addition of aftermarket interior decoration.

Each shadowbox is constructed of laser scored and cut acrylic plastic and Taskboard, and is professionally finished to be individually unique. Windows are fabricated using two layers of laser cut Lazerboard for sashes and frames. You may specify clear or translucent glazing. Fascia are built-up styrene. Each shadow box set is made at ¼” = 1’-0” scale and will be a welcome addition to your O Scale layout.

This shadowbox TM-1 is currently in research and prototype development. It will be available for the first time at the April 2019 York TCA Train Meet. Orders placed by February 28, 2019, will be available at York at our booth in the Orange Hall. The price is $175.00 and you may order it through the website. Orders received by January 15, 2019, may apply a 10% off coupon code on the website: NEWYEAR2018. The coupon code applies top all purchases made on the website

Thank you all for your support in 2018. The response has been a little overwhelming, the learning curve a little steep and the nights sometimes late.
