Guys and Gals....we are introducing some new categories for your Lionel discussions. This should make it easier for the membership to more appropriately place their questions, comments, and posts as well as doing specific searches. Please begin using them instead of placing all of your Lionel discussions in the traditional category.

Is Lionel going to participate or is this membership only? Unfortunately I have found the MTH section to be rather a waste because of lack of Sponsor activity.
Are you going to be expanding this format for other manufacturers?

There are already separate forums for MTH, and have been for quite some time.
Can it be clarified that these new Lionel forums revolve around products covered under a warranty (or some other time metric?). I'm guessing these are NOT places to discuss Pre & Postwar, MPC, and older LTI.

I think the intent here is to have a more specific place to discuss Lionel.... The traditional category and the Lionel General Topics category are likely going to have some overlap with one another just as we have had with the traditional category and the MTH General Topics category. The Tinplate category is another one that may have some overlap with the traditional category. The rest of the new Lionel categories are intended specifically for what their descriptions say on each one. Use these similarly to how you have been using the MTH categories that we created several years ago....
