Thanks to the multi-talented Alex Malliae, our new station platforms have finally been installed. This completes the work on the new train station complex. The platform length is twelve feet long made of six 2 ft sections.

The California Zephyr, pulled by an ABA Western Pacific F unit combo, was the first train to arrive at the new upper level complex. It was followed shortly thereafter by the Sante Fe Chief. The train station was very busy yesterday afternoon and the passengers loved the new facilities.

Many thanks to all of you who responded. This would have not been possible were it not for the very talented Alex. If any of you are considering upgrades to your layout, you should put Alex on the very top of your list. His work is superb, he delivers on time or ahead of time, and his work is very cost effective.

We wanted a new train station as part of our renovation project. We had a large area to work with, so in this case, the bigger, the better. Alex LISTENED to what I wanted and he delivered. The sheds were an afterthought as I first installed a platform that could not be easily seen because of the elevated tracks. It did not look like a station stop. I then thought of the sheds to make the point that this area was part of the new train station complex. Thanks to Alex, it really works.
