Forum member Sinclair brought his Big Boy so we could double head them as well as his 3 sets of reefers along with my 6 UP boxcars.

wow what a sight to see these 2 bellowing smoke and the steam whistle effect amazing.

we were unsuccessful in changing my engine to smoke emitting both stacks at same time. I have another post going on that issue.

I kept tabs with labor effect on it took 3 laps or in this case 60 feet and smoke output was diminished to a faint waft of smoke these engines are truly thirst buggers! he shot a few videos wanted to use his phone camera on flatcar but my tunnels to short in height to do that so used his tripod video camera instead.

we had a great time and I watched as he setup the big boys as multi-unit consists ha!! rich will be happy I didn't use that other word! I'm not well versed in legacy features so was surprised that each engine had to be addressed to use steam whistle I thought setup as a multi unit they both would sound whistle/bell whatever??

as all good train times go it ended too early but I enjoyed the time we had.

Well, if I had know that I would of done it.  But I rather do a reply and respond whistle.  But we also did learn some other things about MUs and the strength of the Big Boys (Like I had the 2nd loco address when I thought I had the MU and turn the speed all the way down on it, but the train kept going.  The lead dragged the deadweight loco without even slowing down.).  I do wish TrainLink would allow you to do things like blow the whistle of the 2nd locomotive.  I'll post the videos as soon as I get them reduced to a wen friendly size.
