I just finished taking the pooch out for a walk and am about to head over to Big Mike's place to see what's going on.  I hope to see some of you folks there.

I did run into Marty Fitzhenry and Dotty, along with several other forum members, when I visited Dave Minarik's Mercer Junction store yesterday to pick up and "test drive" my new Lionel two-truck Shay (a very nice locomotive).  Bill Parisi was apparently providing a grand tour of local sights.

Indeed I did!  Just finished unpacking it a short while ago and it's sitting on the layout now awaiting a test run tomorrow.  I would give it some running time tonight but there are too many other locomotives currently taking up space on the main line.  I need to do a little "rearranging."

Unless Lionel plans to do another run of those hoppers in an upcoming catalog, those may have been ones from an LCCA special run from a few years ago -- still available from the LCCA web store at $149 each, making it unlikely that Lionel would re-run them just yet.

Thanks.  when i asked my now obviously stupid question about MTH i didn't realize where this video was shot.

I am already being bugged "urged' to bring more FREE copies of, "It comes from Within" to the Open house. that's what I like about us 3-railers, we love anything if the price is right.

Thank you for the free copy of this book. I was half-way through it by Saturday night - it's a great read. Thought I won a "door prize" when you walked up to me - I'm sure I didn't properly thank you - Thank You.

John,

I am glad you enjoyed your copy of "It Comes From Within; The Frank Pettit Story"

There is a lot in this soft cover book that makes for fascinating reading, including the naming of the Lionel GG-1 prototype, Big Mama". The internal politics described by Frank Pettit during the early Post-War years is almost as interesting as the saga of the many trains and accessories he helped create and develop during the period.

We have a few more copies for sale for those who are interested.  Pleas contact me via  email about this.

Big ED, It was a great day and enjoyed by all.  The worlds greatest toy train company,Great weather, great people, great products , great prices, great magazine publishing company, great lcca train club and what was best is we got to break bread at the end of the day. We laughed, we cried we took it all in stride.

IF it weren't for this hobby i would have never had the chance to meet you and so many other good friends. I can't wait!! LETS DO IT AGAIN REAL SOON.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came by the OGR table, it was fun talking with so many people who like our magazine and are members of the OGR Family. It was a real morale booster for Allan, George, Bill and me to hear such nice things about the magazine, and some of you even read my column How about that?

It was a great day for Lionel, OGR, LCCA and all the people who attended the Open House.  A perfect definition of a Win, Win.

Thanks again for making it such a great occasion.
