Very nice remembrance, Bob.  Didn't know him but may he rest in peace.

Thank-you for informing us of this sad news.  I always enjoyed his posts and wondered why he wasn't posting for awhile.  It appears from the news online that he was suffering from an extended illness.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and my condolences to you on the loss of your friend.

Ron was a great guy.  We had some funny disagreements on the forum years ago but nothing that would change my opinion of him.  If he is the person I am thinking of he did a lot of bidding at train auctions and was a wealth of knowledge.  Believe he was a Baltimore Ravens fan as well from his profile pic .  God bless him and his family.  BigRail

I am sorry to hear this.  Ron was quite knowledgeable and I enjoyed reading his many posts.

He being a a big Ravens fan,I also enjoyed the friendly banter concerning the Steelers and Ravens.

So sorry to hear this. Ron and I had a lot of fun over the Ravens and the Steelers.  When I would post a picture of a  my custom Steeler train cars he would always say I am not a Steeler fan but that is a nice car.
