I'm sorry to report I've just learned OGR Forum member and long time TCA'er Ron Blume passed on August 16th. Ron was a treasure trove of information regarding our hobby, never hesitating to share his insights and knowledge. I was privileged to have had the opportunity to speak with him on a number of occasions. A veteran of this hobby myself, I still managed to learn a great deal from Ron, not just about trains but life in general, providing many comforting words to me as I struggled to raise my young son following my wife's own passing five years ago. In addition to toy trains, Ron had also worked as an Engineer in electrified territory and told many interesting tales about running GG1s and other electric classes. Ron was a very generous guy and provided me with many nice paper items such as equipment manuals. He will be missed for sure.

God bless ya, Ron.

Ron was a great guy.  We had some funny disagreements on the forum years ago but nothing that would change my opinion of him.  If he is the person I am thinking of he did a lot of bidding at train auctions and was a wealth of knowledge.  Believe he was a Baltimore Ravens fan as well from his profile pic .  God bless him and his family.  BigRail
